Bahja (she/her) is a DONA International trained Postpartum Doula
Bahja has a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology and has always been amazed by the many ways the human body can perform. She has spent most of her professional career working in a hospital based Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and Wellness Center. Her work there helped her recognize the importance of recovery, and she values helping people meet their goals during big life transitions.
Bahja was active in dance and sports from early adolescence into young adulthood and continues to live an active lifestyle. She grew up surrounded by, and caring for, extended family in the form of younger siblings, baby cousins, (and later) nieces and nephews. She was also able to witness first hand how important it is for new parents to have that extra support, good food, and rest, after giving birth. Bahja is skilled at helping families heal and adjust to life with their babies in the best way possible. Whether this is a first born or an addition to your growing family, Bahja believes in being an empathetic, listening ear, and someone who can help families stay focused on what’s most important – adjusting to life with their new baby in a safe and healthy manner.
Bahja is native to North Carolina and lives in Raleigh with her partner and rescue puppy, Mia. In her free time, Bahja loves to dance and listen to live music. She also loves traveling, playing volleyball, spending time with her young nieces and nephews and enjoying good food (whether home-cooked or from a restaurant).
