Our LGBTQ New Parent Support Group is a supportive, welcoming, and safe space for members of our local LGBTQ community who are raising a new baby, are pregnant, working on a conception plan, adopting, or fostering. In this group, you'll find accepting, non-judgmental support, and a place to talk honestly with other LGBTQ families about the joys and challenges of raising a newborn.
This group is open to any families in the Triangle, EmDo clients or not, who have a baby up to one year of age.
All meetings are held monthly on the Second Sunday of each month from 10-11:30a. The group is facilitated by experienced birth and postpartum doulas, but the discussion and topics are led by the group itself. Any changes from our normal meeting location (the EmDo office) will be posted on our Facebook Events Page. Be sure to "Like" our page to stay up-to-date with any changes!
PLEASE NOTE: To help prevent the spread of illness, we require that everyone in our space wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth.
Because this group is facilitated by active birth doulas, there is always the small chance that a last minute cancellation may occur so that we are able to support clients in labor. If you register below, we can text or email you if that happens. Plus, you’ll get an email reminder a few days before each meeting. And, if you do happen to forget to register, you can still attend. We get it!
