Isis (she/her) is a BEST Certified Birth and Postpartum Doula
As a doula, Isis' mission is to support birth-givers and their growing families through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Acting as the liaison between medical staff & families, providing attentive care, and supporting any and all needs, Isis believes her ethical duty should be centered around the birthing family. She does so by providing evidence-based information, never speaking for anyone or passing judgement, but honoring her clients on their terms.
Isis believes that everyone deserves comprehensive health care and wants to be a vessel to increase safety and compassion in the birth space! Regardless of age, race, gender, or sexuality, every person has the right to a supported pregnancy, a joyful birth, and a restorative and positive postpartum journey; and that will always be what she strives for. Helping newly postpartum parents build skill and confidence in feeding and caring for their newborns, getting rest, and feeding their bodies fills her with pride and joy! In service to the diaspora, through the divine, with so much love. Isis has experience with home and hospital birth, medicated, and unmedicated, vaginal and surgical birth, and has supported families in both Durham and Wake county hospitals.
