Vanessa (she/her) is a Doula Trainings International Certified Birth Doula, Full Spectrum Doula, and a Hypnobabies® Hypno-Doula.
Vanessa has experience supporting families across the spectrum including those expecting multiples, those looking to achieve a VBAC, single parents, LGBTQIA+ families, advanced maternal age, IVF, survivors of sexual trauma and assault, families experiencing loss, and low risk birth! She believes in empowering birth experiences for all. Supporting families of all shapes, sizes, colors, and identities Vanessa believes in supporting her clients through nurturing comfort and working through honest and direct communication so as to advocate for families before, during, and after birth. Endlessly curious and passionate about birth, parenthood, and children, she is constantly looking for new ways to support families, as both needs and identities shift and evolve. Originally from Miami, FL, Vanessa lives in Durham with her husband, Tom, and her son, Jackson, where you can find her in the kitchen, with her nose in a book, or outside. Vanessa is also fluent in Spanish and French languages, as well as conversational in Haitian creole.
